Subhadra Kumari Chauhan was an Indian poet who wrote in Hindi. Best known for 'Jhansi Ki Rani', a patriotic poem about the bravery of Queen Lakshmibai, she was one of the first women to participate in the Non-Cooperation Movement and was twice arrested.
